Where has the time gone?

SO today Paul took Rawls to the doctor for his check-up. Technically his 15 month check-up although he is nearly 16 months. His stats for today were 33 inches long and 28 lbs.! He is in the 95th percentile in both of those areas- he is a big boy! It seriously seems like it was not that long ago that he was too little to set down and now that is all he wants is to be down  and running around. It is seriously so crazy how time flies by! I realize that everyone says this and everyone realizes it is true, but until you truly sit down and think about it do you realize that things that seem like yesterday were like 10 years ago! It should always make us evaluate how we are spending our time and is what we are accomplishing with it worthwhile?
Here are a couple of pictures for you... The first one was taken last year about this same time of year, and the second one was taken today at the dr.'s office.

Boys will be boys...

SO within a week Rawls has managed to plant 2 huge bumps on his forehead! The first he did when he was walking out our front door. He normally holds onto the doorframe and does a very good job of stepping down, but he was trying to do it by himself and seriously went head first onto the concrete patio. The 2^nd was today; when he was standing up he slipped on something and once again fell headfirst onto our hardwood floors. I realize that these are not the firsts nor will they be the last of his many hurts and bruises within his life. This is a picture of the tumble out the front door (sorry it was taken with my phone so it is not that great.)  At least he is still smiling though right?

So you really can't see it that great, but it is there.

Two in one week! We're on a roll!

Alright so as of now I am already doing better than last year- WOO-HOO! So since my last post not a lot has been going on. I did finish a paper over Dante (yippee:),  and Paul and I volunteered in the nursery in church on Sunday. It was fun, and it is something we have been meaning to do for awhile and finally just got around to doing it.
This evening we went to the beach with 2 of our good friends, Ashley and Lisa. Ashley is the one who is helping Paul learn how to surf, and I feel like he did quite well for the short time that he has been learning. This was actually the first time I had ever seen Paul surf so it was fun to be out there as a family. Rawls is always up for a beach trip, and he even got up on the surfboard too;)
